FAQ

OUR PRODUCTS

What paper do you use for your prints?

All our prints are produced on matte, 308 g natural white paper made from 100% cotton fibre from Hahnemühle. The paper has a very fine texture yet a wonderfully soft feel lending each artwork an impressive pictorial depth.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is the most popular paper among photographers for fine art printing. It contains no chemical additives and is therefore acid-free and pH neutral (value 4-6), very long life (several centuries) and very good water resistant.

Are your print shop certified?

Yes, our print house is a certified Hahnemühle studio.

Can you make the prints in customized sizes?

We are offering two different sizes 30x30 cm and 40x40 cm, but we are able to offer other sizes upon request. If you are looking for a certain print in a different format, you are welcome to reach out.

Are your prints limited?

Yes, our art prints are available in a maximum of 250 editions. An edition is a single impression of a (printed) artwork that has been produced in multiple copies.

Blomberg Gallery works with limited editions which means that only a certain amount of impressions will be issued of the artwork you own. We carefully control the production of editions and strictly keep their number in fixed amounts (unless mentioned otherwise). Every single edition is numbered and has a Certificate of Authenticity.

Is a frame included?

We can frame the photo print for you and have carefully selected a classical frame in matt black or walnut veneer with a museum white passe-partout and museum glass

Next to the classic frame we offer an art print 50 x 50 cm in a float frame in mansonia wood, without glass. For the float frame option we use matte, 320 g natural white paper made from 100% cotton fibre with a pearl-finish. Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Pearl contains no optical brighteners and is characterised by its warm shade of white. The acid- and lignin-free Photo Rag® Pearl meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance.

Do your frames come with glass?

For the classic frame we use museum glass, or art glass. Museum glass is a clarity, reflection control glass (often referred to as non-reflection glass or art glass). Where normal sheet glass is just that, normal glass, Museum Glass controls reflection from surrounding light sources, as well as being super clear so you can see more detail on your piece. We thinks it works best for the black and white photoprints.

The float frame does not have any glass. The photoprint is displayed in such a way that it appears to float within the frame, which gives a more contemporary feel.

Where are your photoprints being framed?

We work with specialized framemakers in the Netherlands for both frame options we offer. This allow us to keep the quality standards high.

How long does it take for frames to be made?

Our frames are custom made which will take between 2 to 3 weeks. As soon as the framed products are ready, we will inform you.
